How to Download and Install Microsoft Office 365 for Mac Computers

Resolution Steps:

  1. From your Mac computer, open a web browser and go to, scroll down and click "Email" at the bottom of the web page and it takes you to the Microsoft O365 email sign in page. As seen in figure 1.

  1. From the the Microsoft O365 email homepage sign in using your full TxWes email address and enter your Ramlink password.

  1.  Click on "Outlook" if it does not take you directly to your email as seen in Figure 2.

  2. Go to Settings by clicking on the  "Settings: update your profile, install software and connect it to the cloud " in the top right corner

  3. "Office 365" as seen in Figure 3.and click on "Your app settings" Then go  to the bottom right to

  1. Then click on "Software" in the middle of window pane on the page as seen in Figure 4.

  2. Under "Install Office for Mac", click on "Install" to begin downloading the installer package as seen in Figure 5.

  3.     Once the download has completed, go to Downloads, and double-click Microsoft_Office_xxx_Installer.pkg as in Figure 6.

  4. On the first installation screen, select Continue to begin the installation process as seen in Figure 7.

  5. Enter your Mac login password to complete the installation as seen in Figure 8.

  6. After Office for Mac is installed, Word for Mac opens so you can activate Office and confirm your subscription. You should only have to do this once.

  7.  Click on "Get started" on the Word for Mac,  What's New in Word screen that automatically opens up as seen in Figure 9.

  8. On the Sign in to Activate Office screen, select "Sign In", and then enter your TxWes school email account.

  9. After you sign in, you may see an alert asking for permission to access the Microsoft identity stored in your Keychain.

    1. Select Allow or Always Allow to continue.

  10. On the next screen, choose an appearance for your Office installation, select Continue, and then select the Start Using Word button to open the app and complete the Office for Mac activation.
